Family Survival Handbook

I often hear mothers complain of monotony of nutrition of their children: only potatoes,

Red or white pasta, meat and fish only if breaded vegetables, yes provided that nothing Green. Teach their children to eat is challenging as educate them to become self-employed in other fields. We cannot postpone "so then he will learn to eat everything". In the studio I see many teenagers and young adults with the greatest difficulty to approach new foods.

Why didn't they learned as children.

It is worth the effort though it may seem like a chore to learn and when you are tired after a day's work it is easier to put on the table what satisfied SVE and does not create conflicts.

Any advice for those who must manage with these difficulties.

Children are naturally curious where we leverage this their innate propensity for news:

  • bring the children along to the grocery store perhaps choosing a day when we are relaxed and not
  • hurry to explain what we buy and where it comes from
  • Choose fresh and seasonal products that are tastier and flavorful
  • involve your child in food preparation: touching, smelling, messing you learn about and appreciate the food. What you have done with your own hands has an entirely different flavor and definitely makes you want to taste, as well as use your imagination to "serve": create beautiful compositions in the dish brings joy, toddlers we choose spirit or emoticons funny animals, we tell tales that have as protagonist the food you're eating and We will capture their attention.

Certainly not everyone can like and maybe not on the first approach, but it's good to teach taste the food: If you don't like it should not be a requirement, but tastes may change or what the eye does not appear inviting maybe it tastes delicious!

Also serve the right portions educates the sense of proportion more than a mountain of food from face..We think that a child does not have the same need for an adult!

Finally, let us remember that the most important thing is the example: the children observe and imitate us, not We can force them to eat what we don't want to see either on the table!
