Eat healthy, you feel great about your body. Normally high levels of energy, brighter skin and an overall feeling of well-being and better health to come over the body and mind. Many times we make a habit of eating the same foods every day. We tend to eat foods that we like. While this is easy and makes it easier to do the shopping and preparation, not necessarily ensures you're getting great diversity in your food. To take advantage of all the vital nutrients, including vitamins and minerals mean mixing it up a bit. Try our nutrition challenge four weeks to open your eyes to options that you may not have thought of before!
1. week 1 -try 3 new fruits and 3 new vegetables during the week. Be creative in the fruit and vegetable Department. If you've tried everything, go for fruits and vegetables 3 3 who would not normally buy. Try kale, beets and chard for new vegetables. Place the mango, papaya and cherries in fruit. Use the 3 choice for fruits and vegetables throughout the week. We recommend that you plan ahead and look for recipes that you can use your new produce.
2. week 2 -use 2-3 different fresh herbs every night when preparing dinner. Herbs are a great way to freshen up any meal. Changing your herbs can completely change the taste of each dish. Try using Rosemary, tarragon, basil, oregano, thyme, Sage, coriander or parsley to chicken dishes. Fish can be easily dressed with dill, basil, oregano, thyme, parsley and Marjoram. Beef is great when tarragon, oregano, basil, thyme or parsley is embedded. Herbs are also ideal for fruit salads and vegetable salads as well. Mix it up at your convenience!
3. week 3 -for 3 days during the week, make your own freshly squeezed juice of fruit and/or vegetable, using at least 2 different types of fruits and/or vegetables. Choose a day to marinate in a dinner of freshly squeezed fruit juices. It is a large but one that teaches you how to multitask. You're killing two birds with one stone with this challenge. Try a combination of orange juice, lime juice and some cilantro for a sparkling and refreshing healthy drink. Marinate the chicken in this grill and juice to make a tasty dinner for you and your family or friends.
4. week 4 -replace all carbonated drinks with fruit and vegetables infused water. Refresh your water with this challenge. You can take your teas in many different ways. You can use fresh grapefruit slices and sliced ginger with a small amount of stevia to liven up your H2O. Citrus full water lime, lemon and fresh cut orange is also a great way to experience old plain water in a new way. Go and try the sliced cucumber and some Mint or cilantro for an explosion of flavor totally different. Remove sources and especially those calories and replace them with fresh water infused. You'll be better hydrated, refreshed and re-energized.
By changing the foods you eat can also help you discover a new fruit, vegetables or spices. It's also a way to provide a little bit of excitement in a healthy diet.
