The study compared two groups of overweight people. The first group was asked to follow this special diet. While the other group ate both local and imported foods. The result was that people who followed a diet composed only from Danish seasonal foods have lost three times more weight than those of the other group. The average Nordic diet ' ' did lose 4.7 pounds, while others have lost only 1.5. Also people in the first group who suffered from cardiovascular problems are improved.
But what are the Nordic diet foods? Experts recommend eating rye bread instead of the balloon when bread, because it contains slow-digesting fiber, and thus take away the constant need of food. It is also recommended that you do not delete the canola oil from the table because it contains less saturated fat and more omega-3.
The Nordic diet focuses a large intake of vitamins and antioxidants in berries, blueberries, strawberries and raspberries. Finally, wide space to game meat (deer,reindeer and moose), to fish such as herring, mackerel and salmon, and of course with vegetables, mostly cabbage and Brussels sprouts, which are also rich in antioxidants(able to keep away disease and aging) and B vitamins.
