The task of a biologist nustritionist

The object of the profession of biologist is enshrined in Article. 3 of Law 396/67, which gives the biologist, among other skills "needs assessment nutrients and energy of man both in physiological and pathological conditions," then it can be said that the biologist is the only professional so there a rule of law that recognizes the skills necessary to evaluate the nutritional requirements and to prescribe diets resulting from measurement without the need the approval of your doctor. Moreover, thanks to his university education, the biologist knows all the biochemical and physiological mechanisms that regulate nutrition, absorption, metabolism of nutrients. A necessary condition for the exercise of the profession of Biologist Nutritionist is registered with the National Association of Biologists. It should be emphasized that a dietitian or pharmacist can not prescribe diets while a Biologist Nutritionist a registered can do and is the only professional who can do it over to the doctor, or a dietitian but can not operate independently.



As a biologist nutritionist, then, my job is to:
  • Determine the optimal diet individual to not only lose weight but also to increase it where necessary
  • Determine the optimal diet for canteens, community, sports groups, etc., in relation to their composition and characteristics of the subjects
  • Develop special diets for particular proven pathological conditions in hospitals, nursing homes, etc.
  • Offer advice for food education projects for schools and public bodies and private
  • Offer cooperation and advice for gyms and fitness centers.
  • Assessing body composition by bioelectrical impedance
  • Providing proper nutrition in all conditions and at all ages (from childhood to old age!)
  • Fight a slow and difficult digestion (colitis, bloating, heartburn, etc.)
  • Teaching to eat properly even eating out
  • Help deal with pregnancy and lactation with the right power supply
  • Improve Sports Performance
  • Provide support in the DCA (eating disorders)
  • Rebalance the power in pathological conditions (hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, celiac disease, gout, kidney stones, etc.)
