Animal proteins increase the risk of infertility women

Women who consume animal protein imperil its fertility. This would result from a prospective study conducted by researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston about 18,500 women, followed for a period of 8 years (Nurses ' Health Study II).

Women with the highest intake of animal proteins showed a higher risk of approximately 40% of ovulatory infertility, when compared with women with the lowest consumption. By contrast, women with the highest intake of vegetable proteins showed a 22% lower risk of infertility, when compared with women with the lowest consumption.

Also, take 5% of the total calories in the diet in the form of vegetable rather than animal proteins can halve the risk of infertility. The authors therefore conclude that replace sources of animal protein with vegetable sources can reduce the risk of ovulatory infertility.
